SAS - Streets All Salute

Long time followers of the group don’t have to wait much longer for this eagerly anticipated label release. Since 2003, S.A.S. have been relentless in dropping mixtapes for the streets. Their deal with Diplomat/Roc-A-Fella, in December of ‘03 gave them well-deserved publicity. When Roc-A-Fella began to have problems, S.A.S. officially became 100% Dip Set, appearing on 3 tracks on the Diplomatic Immunity 2album, which dropped in late ‘04. Their buzz has been continuous, appearing in magazines throughout the UK, US and Europe and being the hot topic of discussion on numerous websites. Their Eurogang and S.A.S. mixtape release parties in London were both sold out. They opened for Kanye West’s first UK concert and toured with Cam’Ron and The Diplomats in the States. Their most recent mixtape, Who Dares Wins, has sold in excess of 10,000 copies to date. It was also recently named in The Source as one of thetop 5 underground mixtapes. In the past year, S.A.S. have released three videos: ‘Eurogang’, ‘Doin’ Fine’ and ‘Bad Boys’, all of which made the Channel U Top 20 chart, with the latter two even reaching MTV Base playlists. They are on heavy rotation on several radio stations including1Extra, Kiss FM, Choice and Radio 1.They still reap the rewards of their Roc-A-Fella affiliation. In 2004 they appeared on billboards worldwide as part of the Roc-A-Wear campaign and they are featured in the recently released movie State Property 2.The news of their European Distribution deal makes the S.A.S./Dip Set movement even stronger.
