The second release on Urban Graffiti’s tags & throw ups series sees the debut release from mc/producer ROGUE-STAR (one third of Urban Collective). Rogue-star is also the voice of the DJ Quietstorm’s show on Rinse FM and the After Dark show on SUB FM, as well as being resident mc at the HALO BEATS night @ Herbal! Tags & throw ups vol 2 once again comes with the same diverse flavour as the SLAUGHTER MOB release on vol 1 but taken to the next level. With the long awaited release of the a-side STAY CALM (which has been receiving support from the likes of DJ QUIETSTORM, SEARCH & DESTROY AND ORIS JAY for nearly 2 years), the e.p gets off to a high octane start with its amen breaks influence and hard hitting bassline this is a sure fire banger that will murder the dance!! The second offering sees a hypnotic Middle Eastern sample with sick sub bass mixed together with devastating effect. With its constant rolling mid tempo beats, THE CALLING is a must for all those who like there dubstep sound with a bit more pace. The final track on the e.p is the track which has had the most buzz around it in recent months, and the demand increased through support from the likes of SLAUGHTER MOB and DJ SCIENTIST. Also getting love from the highly judgemental dubstep forum, CAPSULE is the most down tempo conventional sounding dubstep track on the e.p. Its half step beats and dirty sub bass mixed with atmospheric pads makes this is a dubstep dance floor killa with a Rogue-star switch on the situation. All in all this is another must for the bag for all dubstep fans.
