Hot on the heels of 002 comes two brand spanking new killer cuts from the Audiofreaks camp provided by rising producer Hektagon, who follows up his previous release with stunning results. The A side shows us why Hektagon is carving a space in Dubstep all to himself. Malevolence is a tough, halfstep stomper that will make your teeth rattle. Beautifully delayed pad hits sit on top of a latin beat and a teasing of the bassline to come. Dubby reverbed snares lead us up to a sneaky drop that just oozes menace. Trademark Hektagon synth work sits astride this creeping skanker that is the perfect cure for the recent spate of jump-up inspired Dubstep. The B side is the deeply sinister and twisted We Will See. Twisted Indian classical textures and haunting vocals set the scene nicely, this tune is all about darkness! Ethnic percussion creeps in and takes us to a perfectly crafted drop that gives you just enough time to take a breath before monstrous subs and growling bass synths kick in to deliver the final blow.
