Frisco or ‘Big Fris’ as he’s known to his label mates, is a member of one of the UK’s biggest Grime collectives, ‘Boy Better Know’, as well as being a ‘TMT’ representative. Since his secondary school years he has been involved in music making, however he only began taking it seriously when people took interest in his sound. In the space of three years, Frisco has released 5 mixtapes for his rapidly growing fan base, (which is more than some artists have done in double that time) by 2007 he had clearly taken his place as one the UK’s best lyricists. Now, after a well deserved break, Big Fris is back to kick off the year with Volume 3 of the Back 2 da Lab mixtapes, his fans and supporters should brace themselves as this will be the last installment they will receive before “Fully Grown” makes it’s way to the shelves – Frisco’s debut album! When asked why his album would be different to anything we’ve heard so far, he replied: “I’m taking time with my album tracks, everything I’ve learnt so far from the music I’ve released is going into my album. It will be all of my mixtapes put together multiplied by 1 million – I’m Fully Grown now!”
