The debut album from London based producers, Dan Frampton and Martin Clark, aka Dusk & Blackdown. Following on in the series of 12"' releases on their own Keysound Recordings label, they now come out with Margins Music, an album which takes the listener beyond the realms of Dubstep, pushing the scene ever forward. It is a journey through the outskirts of Central London, exploring its diversity and aspects of harmony and tension found within the inner city. Margins Music, like London itself, holds within it the feelings of both familiarity and uncertainty. This album is filled with minimal arrangement, 2 Step breaks and distant Asian vocals to go along with its intimidating basslines and Eastern violins, as well as fusing together Bhangra style dhol drums into the melting pot with maximum effect. All in all you will find sounds of UK Hip Hop, Bollywood, Desi Beats, Ragga, Grime, Garage and 2 Step all put together with Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu vocals. This is definitely an album to be reckoned with.
