We are working along side Race For Life this year to raise money for Cancer Research.

Race for Life is Cancer Research UK’s flagship event, which brings together thousands of women each year to walk, jog or run 5k and raise money to beat cancer.

To date, four million women have raised over £240 million for Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work.

We will be attending the following event:

Meadow House is situated in the grounds of Ealing Hospital. We have 15 in-patient beds. There are 13 single rooms and one double room with en-suite bathrooms, some with a shower. All rooms have TV, fridge and music system.

Our multi-disciplinary team consists of doctors, nurses, a physiotherapist, a social worker, a dietitian and other professionals, including occupational therapists and speech and language therapists.

As a team, it is our aim to offer you the highest quality of palliative care.

UKRecordShop.com is taking part in a Charity Fundraiser for the Meadow House Hospice in Ealing. The charity week is running between the 29/09/2008 till the 02/10/2008. The Meadow House Hospice takes care of the terminally ill patients, along with support for families who have someone admitted in their care.

UKRecordShop.com currently supply music to British Forces based in Iraq & Afganistan & have done since the conflict began, we deliver direct to the bases & keep the forces upto date with UK’s latest urban music! UKRecordShop.com have now joined forces with the staff and prisoners based at HMP Bristol to raise money to support a charity called Help For Heroes, this newly formed charity aims to offer support to our servicemen and women wounded in current conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Their first aim is to help build a swimming pool and new gym complex at Headley Court, the tri-service rehabilitation centre at Leatherhead, this much needed resource will help to provide the best possible aid to our injured heroes enhancing and improving their chances of recovery.

Prisoners and Staff of the prison will be involved in a variety of activities throughout 2008 including sponsored events, assault courses, competitions, a sale of prisoner art and craft work and any other event we can organise working within the constraints of a large prison. For staff and their families we will also be holding our annual Auction and Quiz Night but in order to increase the amount we actually raise for this great cause we will also be inviting 2 other prisons to join us. This event will be held in early October but in order to include as many people as possible we actually start advertising items and accepting bids from July.

UKRecordShop.com will be donating music to the prisoners & staff for the auction.

UKRecordShop.com has become a very successful company thanks to our loyal customers, its about time we started giving back & for 2007/2008, we have decided to support the innocent children of war & run the London Marathon, this is the first of many charitable activities we will be doing to do our bit towards making the world a better place.
